Posting . . . after a long hiatus . . .

I just realized that there hasn't been ANYTHING on the blog.  We had a bit of a crazy year, but I wanted to make sure the blog still was up and running, and once it is, I can post pictures and other fun stuff.  See you soon! (I hope!)

Hello!

Here is an update, from the land of crazy-i-just-got-married-ness. Anyhow, I promised to put everything that I learned from the wedding planning experience into ONE document, and I finally have at least a rough draft. My hope is that the next one of my friends to get married can learn from all the trial and error that I went through. =) We have some pictures back, which I will eventually post. Our photographers - AMAZING!!!! I can't say enough how totally totally thrilled I am with all the images that we have, it blows the mind. Even our proof book is over-the-top gorgeous.

Until I get all of that stuff up, here are some fun things that I learned: Sublingual Vitamin B Complex will totally help you grow a set of nails. (Mine used to always break before they could grow out - grr!) And Philosophy's Supernatural Tinted Moisturizer is also amazing.

Another thing I learned: You will get wedding presents after the wedding. Sometimes WAY after. Be sure to save some thank-you cards for the random presents that come later.

Now, back to clearing out the house for the upcoming garage sale (and so that I can move my stuff in)! We have about 20 boxes so far - yay! (what I did with my memorial day weekend!)

I’ll be posting pictures from the wedding as I get them in.  We have some great shots from the friend who did our engagement photos.  And eventually I’ll get photos from the photographers, which I can’t wait to get. . . but I have to wait because that’s just the way that it goes, I guess. =)

sam and i had a wonderful time in hawaii, but we’re both trying to adapt to sleeping with someone else in the bed.   i’m such a ridiculously light sleeper that it’s been hard to get a solid nights sleep.  but at least we aren’t stressed out about wedding planning anymore, so that’s a good thing. now it’s more a happy tired than an exhausted tired.   it’s nice to say hello to someone in the morning.  

we have lots and lots to do, clearing out stuff, sorting through stuff, throwing out stuff, setting up stuff, figuring out where to put stuff.   and figuring out what stuff we will have to get.   ah, stuff, my stuff and his stuff, where is all this stuff gonna go??? =)

check back, i’ll keep posting.   it’s my goal to write a book on all the things that i wish i knew before-hand.  or at least a blog entry.

IMPORTANT!

PARKING may be difficult next Saturday!!! Please allow an extra 15-20 minutes or so for parking!!  You can park on Wells or on any of the nearby streets if the parking lot is full.   There is a lane to drop off people if you want to minimize walking for some of those in your party.   You can find a link with some maps of the area on our website to the <-- Left of this entry. 

We found out there will be a volleyball tournament going on at the high school.  So, Spread the word, and hopefully we can minimize the impact of the parking issue!  Thank you!! Looking forward to seeing you in a week! 

i have decided

that a wedding is basically 1) an endless compiling of lists and 2) asking people to do things.

things to be grateful for -
1 - i'm not THAT sick anymore. hurrah!
2 - Someone is looking out for us, because we got some either free or REALLY cheap stuff:

• our honeymoon tickets were almost completely paid for by a special promotion sam had - yay for sam. we only have to pay 90$ each.
  
• i got a free photobook. i made a cute thing that i can display in the lobby. yay.
  
• i got TONS of free stuff from Vistaprint. It's almost ridiculous - program covers, car door magnets, a poster, t-shirts. It REALLY is completely ridiculous. Yay, vista print, you rock.
